Exclusive to SD Metro – New Poll Results on Mayor Filner and Prevailing Wage

Probolsky Research releases new poll results exclusively at SDMetro, revealing that just 35% of San Diego voters approve of the job Mayor Bob Filner is doing.  Thirty-percent dis-approve of his job performance and 35% are unsure.

These results are from a poll taken just before the latest news that former allies of the Mayor have asked him to resign over allegations of sexual harassment.

Also in the poll: Prevailing wage has the support of a plurality of voters.  A majority of Democratic voters support the proposal to require prevailing wage on all city public works and maintenance projects over $25,000.  A majority of Republicans oppose the proposal while Independent (Decline to State) voters are mixed on the plan.

The complete report including cross tabulated results can be found here.

The poll was conducted Friday, June 28 through Monday, July 1 among San Diego voters in English and Spanish, reaching respondents on landline and mobile phones using live interviewers.
