Senior Opinion Researcher, Full-Time (remote)

Probolsky Research is a market and opinion research company. We are woman and Latina-owned. We are non-partisan, independent researchers passionate about accuracy, data security, and using storytelling to make data usable.

Responsible for facilitating market and opinion research projects from proposal writing to instrument design and project fulfillment, final research deliverables and presentations to clients. This position reports to the president of the company and works collaboratively with the entire team.

Specific duties:

  • Determine priorities for projects and work with colleagues to set timelines and workflow
  • Develop new ideas and processes to help the organization innovate
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule that can include evening and weekends as necessary
  • Conduct client kick-off meetings
  • Conduct open-source research and review client-provided background
  • Write quantitative questionnaires and qualitative discussion guides
  • Program and manage data collection
  • Analyze research results and prepare reports and presentations
  • Make client presentations, including in public forums
  • Edit internal and client-facing reporting
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and vendors
  • Draft responses to requests for proposals

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting market or opinion research (no exceptions)
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proficiency with SPSS, STATA, Python, R or other statistical software
  • Data visualization experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photo Shop, Tableau, Google Studio, or other similar software
  • Basic understanding of geospatial software
  • Write like a journalist and edit like an English teacher
  • Grasp new concepts quickly
  • Multi-task – project and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Interpersonal discretion
  • Pro-active mindset with a desire to continually grow your knowledge

  • Interest in, and knowledge of, government, politics and public policy
